Community Bible Church

Sharing the gospel and reaching out in practical ways are an important focus for us.  We currently support missions in eight countries. Locally we support excellent ministries sharing the love of Christ in schools and to those needy and in crisis.  As we share financially and partner with these organizations, the community is strengthened.  You can visit these local sights by clicking on the links in the right sidebar and become more informed.

Good news for bad times.  We receive weekly deliveries of a variety of breads and occasionaly some pastries.  It is ready for pick up at no charge by those in our congregation in the kitchen on Sunday mornings.  Check it out.  (We have a volunteer who picks it up and brings it to the church.)

Through donations and a monthly food distribution, we keep a small food pantry stocked with nonperishable food and miscellaneous household and personal items to help our neighbors in need.

Twice a month, the church is able to purchase "close-to-date" food and miscellaneous small household supplies at a deeply discounted rate. Some of the food is used for our Wednesday night meals and for the Needy/Homeless Ministry. Remaining food is available at no charge to those in our congregation. A church-wide notification is usually made at least a couple days before it arrives. This is a much appreciated help in these low economic times.

Boxed meals are prepared and distributed on Tuesday nights starting at 5 o'clock in the old Brooksville Save-a-lot parking lot at Broad Street & US 98 and then at 5:30 P.M. in the old Publix parking lot at Broad Street and Cortez (US 50 Truck bypass.)

If you have interest in growing or participating in a new cooperative community garden, we could use your help.  Bring your ideas, seeds, and sets. 

We are currently looking for volunteers to help with mowing the church grounds.  If you have an interest in serving in this way, please contact the church office at 799-5462.

During the Fall of the year, the congregation starts filling shoeboxes with appropriate supplies and toys.  After being filled, they are prayed over and forwarded on to Samaritan's Purse for distribution to young boys and girls all over the world.
